How does laser tattoo removal work?

We like to use the analogy of a boulder when explaining how laser tattoo removal works. Imagine the ink in your skin as a boulder. We will take a sledge hammer(the laser), and break the boulder into stones. Your immune systems ‘street sweepers’ will clean up the ink that has been liberated. It will take 6 weeks for the street sweepers to complete the clean up. You will for another sledge hammer smack(laser treatment), again turning the stones into rocks. Rocks will then become pebbles and so on. There is no mistaking, tattoo removal is a process. We have the best laser machine in the world and the best prices in town hands down.

How many removal sessions can I expect?

It is impossible to say. These are the factors which determine rate of removal:

tattoo colors
skin type
ink types
scarring in your tattoo
density of ink
depth of ink

Is it painful?

We will pretreat your tattoo with ice packs. Our clients have a tougher time with the stress leading up to the first session rather than the session itself. Generally clients say it is like the snap of a rubber band on the skin.
